Chances are the last time you strolled through Wynn or Encore, you were utterly dazzled by their respective details—but did you realize that there’s a story to each element in the “neighborhoods” that have been so lovingly crafted throughout both resorts? Elaine Wynn and Roger Thomas spotlight their favorite finds throughout the resort.

“Because we are such a destination for convention business and other important meetings or special occasions, we always felt it was important to feature shoeshine stands within our hotels. At Wynn there are two: One is tucked back near a men’s lounge located between the Buffet and Decorazzi, and the other is next to a men’s lounge near Zoozacrackers. We thought both were perfect spots because they’re high-traffic areas between so many meeting points. Of course, you can arrange to have your shoes shined while in your room by calling a bellhop, and he or she will bring them down. But what if you’re between meetings and need a quick touch-up? The gentlemen who offer this service are not Wynn employees but actually an outside company with whom we work; here, we feature the wonderful Broadway, who runs the service for us. Ultimately it’s a small detail, but an example of how the little things raise an experience to another level.”
